The plans have been approved as per plans bearing this Departments stamp and dated October 20, 1993. The survey indicates that sufficient area exists to expand or repair the sewage disposal system, should it become necessary in the future. Therefore, based on the information submitted, the above mentioned addition is approved with the following conditions: 1. The total number of bedrooms must remain at two without prior approval by this Department. The applicant has requested a variance to increase livable space by finishing attic and renovating the existing first floor.. The criteria for an Area Variance have. been met. A practical difficulty exists and such difficulty cannot be obviated by a method other than a variance. There will not be a substantial change in the character of the neighborhood. This action will not be detrimental to the adjoining properties. The character of the neighborhood will be preserved. This is the minimum variance that will provide relief. A short EAF has been submitted as per SEQRA requirements and, a negative declaration is in order since it appears that there will be no major impact on the environment. THEREFORE, based upon the above FINDINGS OF FACT, it is hereby ORDERED that the application or appeal be and the same is hereby GRANTED, subject to the following: 1) The applicant shall obtain approval from the Putnam County Department of Health, Division of Environmental Health Services for the septic system prior to the issuance of a Building Permit; 2) The applicant shall The decision of the Building and Zoning Inspector is hereby reversed.
