Public Health Director W I have received and reviewed the plans for the proposed addition to your above mentioned residence. The plans indicate that the roof of the existing structure will be modified to increase they amount of living area by approximately 15% (250 sq. ft). The existing downstairs master bedroom will be relocated on the second story and the existing master bedroom will be renovated into a dining room and living room. The survey indicates that sufficient area exists to expand or repair the sewage disposal system, should it become necessary —in= the= = future: - —Therefore;—based--on--the--information submitted, the above mentioned addition is APPROVED with the following conditions: 1. The total number of bedrooms must remain at two without prior approval by this Department. 2. The area of the existing sewage disposal system, and its expansion area, must be maintained. 3. All plumbing fixtures must be replaced or updated with water saving devices, i.e., low flush toilets, restrictors for shower heads and faucets, etc. Approval is granted for sewage disposal only. Any other permits or variances required are the responsibility of the applicant and the jurisdiction of the Town of Putnam Valley. If you have any questions, please contact me at your convenience. Lot 100 Abele Park JOHN KARELL Jr., P.E., M.S. Public Health Director Dear'Mr. & Mrs. Leonteff: I have received and reviewed the plans for the proposed addition to your above mentioned residence — The plans indicate that the roof of the existing residence will be modified to allow the installation of three bedrooms, in this area. The residence is. presently a two bedroom structure located on a 50' x 100 ' lot. Based on current_regulations, the addition of a bedroom will require that the " `•— F7EwE1E '"Cll$il'Jf3ai "a3jrc31ilii uet'C' j(1'Ce3iYt°t:Giue 'Y (i1ii'2u'iiit8• n''ioi ic''ua vv .4y with an'individual water supply would not be capable of meeting these requirements. Therefore, any proposed addition on this parcel must be limited to 15% of existing floor area (22% increase proposed) and must include no more than two potential bedrooms. I have enclosed a copy of our current guidelines. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the writer.
