The subject property was formerly owned by Mortgage Servicing Corp. and has recently been sold to William Wood. Note that we are unsure of the new owner's name. We have been told by the new owner that he has discussed with the Environmental Health Department the replacement of the old septic system. Based on discussions with you and Mr. Wood, we believe that the current proposal is to locate two septic tanks between our house and Mr. Wood's house possibly within the right -of -way running between the subject property and our property. Sewage will then be pumped uphill to leaching fields behind the house to an area where an old hand -dug well is located. We understand that these leaching fields may also be partially within the right -of -way, and will be less than 100 feet from our well, as evidenced on the attached map. We appreciate that something must be done with this property which has been abandoned for so very long. We also appreciate that the Environmental Health Department wants the current owner of the subject property to locate his septic system as far as possible from Oskawana Lake to avoid contamination of public use water. However, we do not feel that he should be allowed to contaminate or potentially contaminate our own well water simply because relocating the septic as proposed is preferable to repairing the existing septic system. Moreover, we know from several discussions with the new owner before he purchased the property that he was well aware of all of the property's septic problems, including the fact that the existing leaching field may be on Mrs. Snyder's property. We believe that Mr. Wood knew that there was some risk that the septic problems could not.be "resolved, but he chose not to make his purchase conditional upon receipt of a permit to repair /replace the septic rYn ,7rA•_J T;PGJP)7f7Tf Tf ni AqT' f,Sb = 69TZ 6Sv ZTE oal -0 di S£:LS LZ, TO -inf CREDIT LYONNAIS AMERICAS FACSIMILE TRANSMITTAL SHEET FAX NUMBER- PHONE NUMBER: SFNDER'S O'.KRENCE NUMBER: R£' .
