I am taking this informal manner of reporting +; my find1rigs in hopes that it willnot interfere with the consideration of the'Canapini application scheduled for Tuesday night by the Board of -- Health. From my set of tax'Nmaps, which are over a year outdated, I find the reputed owner to be a party named "Kelley ". Arriving at the site, 1 met the lady who lived in the house:., :a Mrs. "Garrity". who it turns out rents the house from the Kelleys. She reported that -the well and septic were located approximately asshown in the sketch below. Note that she advised that the septic for.the dwelling lies on lot # 3 of the same block, i.e., the parcel directly in back of the house location, and fronting on the other street. m� tax maps show a different owner for that-, but I -will- try today to have Nick check-the Assessor's records to verify the ownership. In. the meantime, it appears that the data with respect:to the location of:the fields is logically as presented, as this would be the.,.pro -per pattern since their well is in the front, and the cover to septic tank was indicated with a stick in the backyard, near the.rear. line. I have asked 1Mrs. Garrity to forward on to the Kelley's the. enclosures attached. From the information presented, it is apparent that the location of the fields would not be in the direct line of drainage - because of contours and also the fact that there is a dwelling & well already present on lot # 4. The well for this lot must certainly be much less of a distance from the..system of lot 15. :Assuming the worst, that the system lies directly on the easterly propertyline, then our proposed well location would still be vome M 67' from it. Again, the system appears to be located somewhat uphill from that position, so I would ascertain that the well is probably to be located at least eighty feet, and more likely 100' feet from this existing septic system. The Canapini's are already aware that they are asking for variances in where they are spotting their well; they are, no doubt, ready to assume this risk. 'In my opinion, with sufficient precaution, the well driller should be able to obtain a clean well even though lews than 100' from .pxzp existing septics.
