Subsequently, site Inspections were made to see if any dye had reached the lake - or been observed in the drinking water - and none has of this date. Attached herewith please find a copy of a portion of a ''Bergendorff survey which shoves the well - said print also shows the "cess pool ", and. the limits Of the addition. In view of the various constraints applied to the site by both health standards, zoning regulations, etc, and still applying the parameters of good engineering practice, I see no reason why the Adams' family should be contrained from adding an addition of 3 rooms (I.e. 2 bedrooms and a sitting room) providing it meets with the provisions outlined _ .he.re_lnaftert_ t nd_,any _further _re.s_trLctions .- impps_pa,,bv. your_ office; and /or the Town of Patterson: a.) Occupancy of the dwelling should not be increased i.e., usage is for the family consisting of husband and wife and two children. Thereforp even though there are increased bedrooms, there should be no increased water usage - note also no additional 30 2N bathrooms are proposed. While the lots could. be sold, some legal covenant could be drafted to alert potential buyers of the limitation of the facility to.occupancy by four people. bo) The existing well performs adequately, although at a precarious spot with respect to the existing cess pool. It is suggested that a bacteria test be performed on the well, and the results forwarded to the undersig for transmittal to the ilealth Department. Should a new well need to be drilled in the future - it is suggested it be drilled near the easterly corner of lot 10357, adjacent to the FAi land, and thus least likely to be contaminated - in addition, the dwelling would remove it from any direct line of drainage to the cesspoblo c.) With respect to the sewage disposal, the cess pool is presently performing adequately, and gives every indication of continuing to do so, It is suggested that a regularly scheduled pumping service.be implemented for it (one time per year, or as necessary). Further, it is recommended that in the future, the feasibility of installing a septic tank (1,000 gallonoalpacity) be investigated to further prolong the longevity of the ess p Yt - _ .. - -_ - -.
