Dear Mr. Folchetti:
An application was submitted to your department for the
above noted property a -nd was rejected by letter dated
November 17, 197.7 from Bruce Foley of your office. .It,
was rejected because the.proposed: well could not meet
the 100 ft. restrictive distance from the sewage dis-
posal system.
Mr. &. Mrs. Roche, have owned the property ;since 1.95,3 :with
i "ntenti ons �of making --i t' 'their retirement home. The re-
jection of the lot--imposes a'severe economic hardship
and is a blow to their long- nurtured'.plans of .being
able to retire to the country.
In view of the above, they have asked that.I re.qu.es�t a
variance through the Putnam County Board of...Health'so
that they may be able to build a system as shown on the
plans.
Attached is a letter from the Roches indicating their,
awareness of the 100. ft. regulation. '°This •letter, if
t • he variance is approved; will be filed with.the county
clerk and - reference made to the deed to the property.
Please have this matter placed on the.agenda for the
next meeting of the Board of Health s•o it may be dis
cussed further. If you need any further information prior
to. the meeting,, please advise.
